In the Ultima IX directory, there is a file called default.kmp. When opened in a text editor like Wordpad, you will find the following text line:

[Cheat Commands]

Simply add the following lines underneath it:

alt+shift+i = toggle_avatar_invulnerable
alt+shift+l = toggle_avatar_fly

During game play the corresponding keys (alt+shift+i & alt+shift+l) will activate the cheat functions.

You may also bind the following codes just as you did the ones above:

pass_one_hour
unpass_one_hour
sunrise_sunset
pass_one_minute
unpass_one_minute
toggle_sun
toggle_wind
toggle_storms
toggle_avatar_fast

These cheat codes are only for patch 1.07 and are employed in the same manner as the ones already listed.

Add these to the DEFAULT.KMP file in your Ultima IX folder like so:
"ctrl+r = recharge_mana"

These two are self explanatory:

recharge_mana
fill_spellbook

The following give you spells, respectively. You are also given every Sigil, The Orb of the Moons and a Bread. Everything in your backpack is removed when you do these and armor is reverted back to the Avatar's clothing at the beginning of the game.

At the start of the game, when you are at the Avatar's house on Earth, go outside to the place with the training dummy. If you climb up on top of the training dummy, then you can jump over the fence. Look behind the tree nearest to where you land, behind the small bush. There is a lever. If you pull the lever, 16 teleporters will appear. Some will give you new armour or teleport you to different points in the game, but most will send you to Castle Stonekeep, as if you'd been through the moongate. It's best to experiment with the teleportation pads to see what they do.

If you use the teleporters before seeing the Gypsy, you will start the game as a Mage automatically. So if you don't want to be a Mage, go see the Gypsy first!

If you step on one of the teleporters that sends you to Stonegate, it removes anything that you were carrying, and gives you the normal Avatar Armour. But, there is a way to get round this!

Experiment with the teleporters until you find one that teleports you to Britain. Then, go to Stonegate, and go to the room that you would teleport into if you had gone through the moongate on Earth. Once there, you can leave all of your items that you want to keep in there.

Then leave Stonegate, and use the Fly cheat to fly up to the top of the tower. There is a teleporter on the top. Step onto the teleporter, and you will teleport into Stonegate, complete with the advantages of the character class you chose (if you saw the Gypsy in the first place!), and the stuff that you dropped will be exactly where you left it!
