Defeating the Colonel

After you defeat the gang members walking the street, go to the park beat the first guy, then face the colonel. When you start the fight all you can do is jump! After you lose, go to the shop the owner will paint your model with some stuff that will help you win!

After defeating Ann in the Spring Tournament, go up to the alley right next to the stadium and you should find 5,000 credits. Later on, after Louis moves away and you get the Super Part, go to the other alley up next to the school, and you should find 5,000 more.

Beating the Arena Announcer

Use the Axe model and do continuous death rolls.
It might take some time but you get 1,000 credits for beating him.

Free Part From The Shop!

This may be a little tough to do, but it's worth it, and you save a lot of money. Plus, you can get the chance of getting both the packs, but I'm not sure about the 3rd level parts. Anyway, this is how it goes. First, start a new game a pick any model you want.

Don't go into the shop until you get to the General. If you can beat him wth the normal parts, that's fine. If not, go into the shop ONCE and buy a level 1 part, suggesting one you use mostly for your model. After defeating the General, continue your game without going into the shop until you are asked to go to the Japanese Mansion/Castle.

Let yourself be defeated once, then head into the shop. You should be the 10 millionth customer and get the free part. It's usually the power pack, but it may be different. Getting the power pack for free, again, saves you a lot of money, or at least 40,000 credits. This way you can get the healing pack as well without trying to battle every modeller to get both packs.

Level 4 Parts

Yes, there ARE Level 4 parts in the game. These parts will make your model as strong as the prototype Axe (Mad Scientist). Here's how to get it. It's really simple, and if you're an expert at fighting in this game, you've got it made. First, make sure you've beaten the Hyena Gang so the Mad Scientist will be in his lab. Now just keep fighting him and keep WINNING until he gives you all Level 4 parts. You may need Level 2 or 3 parts to defeat him. Once that's done all you'll need are the 2 packs and your power model should have FULL maximum power!
