To easily get kills in the cow level if you are a paladin, you need a good level thorns. Hire help and give them thorns too. Get the cows to herd around the hired help.

The help will not die but the thorns will kill the cows really fast. This will not work with more than 1 person in a game so if you are in multiplayer use a password.

Although not documented, you may run Diablo II in a Window instead of full-screen. Simply add "-w" to your Diablo II shortcut.
(ie: "C:Diablo 2Diablo II.exe" -w)

Never buy a ''Scroll of Identification'' while in town. Instead, talk with Deckard Cain. He will identify all of your items for free!

Tired of not getting good "imbued" items by Charsi, or not getting your sought item by gambling, then this trick is for you!

This trick only works in single player.

First, you must go in your Diablo II/Save directory and select all the files related to your character (the files with the name of your character), then select their properties and click the checkbox read-only. From there start your game and do your gambling or your imbue. If you''re not satisfied with your results, simply save the game and restart.

Since you have write-protected your files, Diablo II cannot overwrite your savegame and it will be as if you''ve not save at all!

Once you got what you''re looking for, hit alt-tab to return to windows, and unselect the read-only properties for your savegame and return to the game and voila!

P.S. The trick can also be used with the ring that Ormus gave you when you return him the Gidbimm (the dagger).

Tired of enemies that can resurect other creatures? (The Shaman are one example.)

If you are a barbarian, rapidly cast ''Find Potion'' on the dead Fallen. His Shaman won''t be able to bring him back to life!

(Note: This only works for the barbarian)

If you die and cannot make it back to retrieve the items from your dead body, simply save, exit, and return to the game. Your corpse will appear in town and you may retrieve your items easily.

there is a cube combination with an increased chance of getting a +1/+2 to all skills amulet, the chance is increased by about 80 percent.
the combination is 3 perfect skulls and an amulet (amulet cannot be unique.)

In jail in act 1. You can open up secret walls. There are rooms where there is stuff in them. If you click on the walls a secret door opens.

The hydra, although relatively weak does have a few uses. Throughout Diablo 2 there are many rooms filled with minions, and the only thing separating you from them is a closed door.

Put your mouse on the door, leaving it closed and continue to cast hydras on it. About 1/2 to 2/3s of the hydras will appear on the inside side of the door, allowing them to clean out or weaken the room before you even open the door. All that remains is for you go in, and pick up the loot.
