To give yourself a huge amount of RU's just do the following: 1. Go to the directory where Homeworld2 is installed. Open the directory HomeworldBinProfilesCampaignASCENSION 2. Open the file persistXX.lua, where XX stands for your mission number. Scroll down to bottom and find the line "RUs = ". 3 Change the number in ther "RUs = " line to something like "RUs = 2000000". Don't use a very big number otherwise it will return a negative RU number in the game. The number above will give you a huge ammount of RU's that are enough to finish all! the missions....save the file, start the game, load the campain and have fun.

Ship Hack

This changes files in your game, so make back-ups before you start editing things.

To change the numbers of ships you start off on a mission go into the Acension folder in the Homeworld 2 directory (example - C:GamesHomeworld2BinProfilesProfile1CampaignASCENSION).

Look for the persist*.* files in each of the stages you've played (and have had at least an auto-save on). Each persist file determines the ships available in that stage. A persist file that reads persist1 will be for mission 1, and persist3 will be for mission 3 for example.

Open the appropriate persist file using a text editor and search for a string of lines:

Unlock All Stages

This involves editing a game file, so make a back-up before proceeding.

Go into the profile folder in the Homeworld 2 directory and search for a file playercfg.lua Use a text editor to open it and search for the string maxmission = X, where X is the furthest stage you have completed in the game. Change X to 15 and you will open all missions. Warning: this will open all the missions but your starting fleet is based on your last completed mission (see the hack about the persist files). You've been warned!
