Hugo 3 Doom In The Jungle Game Cheats ( PC ) Hints After the airplane carrying Hugo and Penelope lands, they find themselves in a jungle clearing. Penelope manages to get bitten by the dreaded tree spider and Hugo must find the antidote to save her -- and therein hangs the tale of HUGO III: JUNGLE OF DOOM. As Penelope lies prostrate after being bitten by the spider, Hugo listens to the native girl tell of the pool of life wherein he will find the antidote for the spider's bite. Despite his distress over Penelope's condition, he remembers to return to the plane to look for any useful items. He gets into the plane, looks, and sees a water flask, some bouillon cubes, a lump of clay, pins, and a sandwich. Taking all of these items, he goes back toward the jungle passing the native girl who is tending to Penelope. (He's in such a hurry, he doesn't stop to chat.) Immediately to the west of the native girl there is nothing of interest, so Hugo keeps going. SHAKY BRIDGE As Hugo continues west, he comes to a shaky bridge spanning a deep chasm. He sees vines hanging over the bridge and he ties the bridge with the vines. This strengthens the bridge and Hugo is able to cross the chasm. After he crosses the chasm, the bridge collapses. TWO PATHS Immediately to the west of the bridge there is nothing of interest, so Hugo plods on. Soon he comes to a division in the path. (At this point either path can be taken to solve the game as long as all actions are completed.) Hugo decides to try the first path. This path goes back east and takes Hugo to a stream. Once again he sees vines, and remembering Tarzan, he SWINGS ON THE VINES and over the stream. THE BOOK When he lands on the other side of the stream, he decides to explore the edge of the stream. Carefully walking north between the bushes and the stream, he sees a book. (This is a rather exact walk and the book will appear on the ground by the stream.) Hugo takes the book, turns around, and walks back to the path. Upon reaching the path, he turns east (away from the stream). On his way he passes an elephant but does not stop (we'll get to the elephant later) and soon he comes to the outer edge of a village. THE VILLAGE Hugo turns north and enters the village where he meets the natives who are very talkative. He listens to them very carefully and finds that they are unhappy with the quality of their food. He gives them the bouillon cubes and they give him a blowgun and darts. They also tell him about the Witch Doctor. Hugo then walks east from the village and comes to the door of the Witch Doctor's hut. THE WITCH DOCTOR The natives have told Hugo to be careful of the Witch Doctor but his curiosity gets the better of him and he enters the hut anyway. Inside, he isimmediately captured by the Witch Doctor and put into a large cage. Hugo is, however, very resourceful and makes an effigy out of the clay into which he sticks the pins (a little voodoo here). The Witch Doctor staggers and falls in front of the large cage. The voodoo worked. Hugo opens the door of the cage and walks out. IN THE HUT Hugo looks around the hut and sees a candle, two mouse holes (complete with mouse), and a small cage (just to the left of the left mouse hole). He LOOKS AT THE MOUSE and learns he has found a shy mouse. Hugo also knows that the mouse may be of some use (remember the elephant), so he puts the sandwich into the small cage. He walks to the right of the large cage near the right mouse hole and waits. The mouse comes out of the left hole and goes into the cage. Hugo takes the cage. Then, he takes the candle and leaves the hut. Outside the hut he turns west and leaves the village. THE ELEPHANT Hugo goes back west and again comes to the elephant. He puts the cage down,then he shoots the elephant with the dart (or blowgun -- either will work). Immediately, he opens the cage and the mouse escapes scaring the elephant. The elephant lumbers to the west but the blowgun dart is beginning to take effect. Hugo follows the elephant west. THE STREAM ONCE AGAIN Hugo finds the elephant sitting asleep in the stream. He walks across the stream (no need to swing over) and continues back to the point where the path divides. PATH DIVISION SECOND TIME Hugo is again at the two paths. He turns west and takes the second path. On this path he finds a scroll which he takes and reads paying close attention to the information in it. He goes further down the path and finds a bell which he also picks up. THE HALTED WATERFALL Hugo continues east along the path until he comes to a waterfall which has stopped flowing due to the elephant's body which is blocking the stream. Hugo walks to the base of the waterfall (northerly direction) and looks. Some stones at the base of the waterfall make a path across the stream. Hugo crosses the stream on the stones and, going west, comes to a pool of water. THE POOL OF LIFE The pool is surrounded by lovely flowers and must be the pool of life that the native girl told Hugo about. Hugo fills the water flask with water. Then, he goes back the way he came and crosses the rocks at the waterfall. The stream begins to flow. Hugo walks east and sees a cave with a spirit in it. THE BOULDER He walks past the cave and soon he comes to a point where the path turns back and there he sees a large boulder. Remembering the words on the scroll, he LOOKS BEHIND THE BOULDER, and finds a crystal ball. He takes the crystal ball and returns to the cave. THE CAVE The spirit prevents Hugo from entering the cave. Hugo decides that he will scare the spirit. (There is no need to say what to use. It's only necessary to use SCARE or FRIGHTEN, and that Hugo possesses the bell, book, and candle.) The spirit flees and Hugo enters the cave. IN THE CAVE The Old Man appears and begins his questions, but this time he asks what Hugo has (easy questions). Hugo answers NO, NO, and YES. The Old Man takes the crystal ball, and presto! Hugo finds himself on the right side of the collapsed bridge. PENELOPE Hugo rushes east to Penelope and gives her the water and they fly off into the sunset.
