Ys: The Ark Of Napishtim Game Cheats ( PlayStation 2 )
Nightmare mode
Successfully complete the game on any difficulty setting to unlock the nightmare difficulty setting.
Time Attack mode
Successfully complete the game on any difficulty setting to unlock Time Attack mode.
Alternate ending sequence
Successfully complete the game on the nightmare difficulty setting to see a picture of Crevia during the ending sequence.
Float in air
Go in the building above the item shop in the Human/Eraision city on the other side of the dungeon where you fought the first Boss, saving Isha. Climb up the stairs in the next room from the mayor's room. When you are on the balcony, jump near the boxes and you will float in the air.
Cheat mode
At the main menu, select the "Cheats" option. Hit the following color crystals from left to right (in order): Red, Blue, Yellow, Red, Blue, Yellow. To accept the code, perform a downward thrust strike on the center pedestal piece. The following codes may now be enabled in the same manner:
- Unlock game completion bonuses
Hit Red four times, Blue four times, Yellow four times, Blue two times, Yellow two times, Red two times.
- Start at level 10
Hit Red once, Blue two times, Red two times, Blue once.
- Start at level 20
Hit Red once, Blue two times, Red two times, Blue two times.
- Start at level 30

Change game mode
You can customize the game by hitting Yellow (once or twice), Red (one to four times), Blue once, in order. The number of times that Yellow and Red are hit changes various aspects of the game, allowing you to create any desired combination:
- Yellow once: CG intermission sequences
- Yellow two times: Animated intermission sequences
- Red once: Japanese text and voices
- Red two times: English text and voices
- Red three times: Japanese text with English voices
- Red four times: English text with Japanese voices
