Guitar Hero: Van Halen Game Cheats ( Xbox 360 )
Cheat mode
At the main menu, select "Options", "Cheats", "Enter New Cheat", then enter one of the following codes to unlock the corresponding cheat option. If you entered the code correctly, a message will appear.
- Always Slide
Press Green(2), Red(2), Yellow, Red, Yellow, Blue. This mode turns all guitar notes (not chords) into touch pad sliding notes connected by purple lines. It has no effect online. Note: This code prevents achievements from being earned.
- Always Drum Fill
Press Red(3), Blue(2), Green(2), Yellow.
- Auto Kick
Press Yellow, Green, Red, Blue(4), Red. This mode automatically plays the bass pedal for the drummer. It has no effect online. Note: This code prevents achievements from being earned.
- Hyperguitar, Hyperbass, and Hyperdrums
Press Green, Blue, Red, Yellow(2), Red, Green(2).
- Line 6 Effects
Press Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, Red, Yellow, Blue, Green to unlock additional Line 6 effects in the Music Studio.
- Performance mode
Press Yellow(2), Blue, Red, Blue, Green, Red(2).
- Invisible Rocker
Press Green, Red, Yellow(3), Blue(2), Green.
- Air Instruments
Press Red(2), Blue, Yellow, Green(3), Yellow.
- Black Highway
Press Yellow, Red, Green, Red, Green, Red(2), Blue.
- Flame Color
Press Green, Red, Green, Blue, Red(2), Yellow, Blue.
- Gem Color
Press Blue, Red(2), Green, Red, Green, Red, Yellow.
- Star Color
Press Red(2), Yellow, Red, Blue, Red, Red, Blue.
- Vocal Fireball
Press Red, Green(2), Yellow, Blue, Green, Yellow, Green.

Successfully complete any career to unlock the classic Van Halen costumes.

Accomplish the indicated achievement to get the corresponding number of Gamerscore points:
- Have You Seen His Grades? (5 points): Complete a tutorial level.
- It's Alive (5 points): Unlock Eddie's Frankenstein guitar.
- Ouch! (5 points): Create a custom tattoo.
- Intruder (10 points): Complete the career intro.
- Van Halen (10 points): Complete a career on Beginner. (Band or Solo)
- Every Band Wants Some!! (10 points): Complete a song with the full band. (4 player band)
- They Ran With the Devil (10 points): All band members get a 50 note streak at the same time. (4 player band)
- Somebody Get Them a Doctor (10 points): Hit 100% of the notes in a song as a band. (4 player band)
- Atomic Power Punk (10 points): All band members activate Star Power at the same time. (4 player band)
- Hung High (10 points): All band members earn an 8x multiplier at the same time. (4 player band)
- EVH (10 points): Unlock all of the Van Halen instruments.
- The Broken Combs (15 points): Complete a gig in West Hollywood.
- Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Dallas (15 points): Complete a gig in Dallas.
- Far Away Lands (15 points): Complete gigs in London and The Netherlands.
- The Space Brothers (15 points): Complete gigs in Los Angeles and Rome.
- Van Halen II (15 points): Complete a career on Easy. (Band or Solo)
- Jump (15 points): Complete all Van Halen songs. (Band or Solo Career)
- Rock Out Big Cities (20 points): Complete gigs in Berlin and New York City.
- Unchained (20 points): Unlock all Van Halen characters.
- Women and Children First (25 points): Complete a career on Medium. (Band or Solo)
- Fair Warning (35 points): Complete a career on Hard. (Band or Solo)
- The Tour is Ending (35 points): Complete a majority of the gigs. (Band or Solo)
- Diver Down (45 points): Complete a career on Expert. (Band or Solo)
- 1984 (55 points): Complete a career on Expert+. (Solo Drum)
- The Woodshed (60 points): 5 star guitar for 'Little Guitars', 'Cathedral', 'Spanish Fly', and 'Eruption'. (expert)
- 316 (65 points): 5 star all Van Halen songs on Bass Career. (expert)
- Diamond in the Rough (70 points): 5 star all Van Halen songs on Vocal Career. (expert)
- Double Bass Master (75 points): 5 star all Van Halen songs on Drum Career. (expert)
- Guitar God (100 points): 5 star all Van Halen songs on Guitar Career. (expert)
- 5150 (100 points): Complete all Van Halen songs on every instrument. (Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Vocals)
Additionally, there are sixteen secret achievements:
- Can I Borrow A Quarter? (5 points): You created a custom guitar.
- Bang your Gong (5 points): Created a custom drum set.
- Brown Sound (5 points): You rocked out as classic Eddie.
- Break that String (5 points): You completed the song 'I Want It All' as Eddie playing guitar.
- Beaten (5 points): You won a guest artist song playing with Eddie.
- Born to Rock (5 points): You rocked out as classic Wolfgang.
- The Ice Cream Man (5 points): You won a guest artist song playing with Dave.
- Diamond Dave (5 points): You rocked out as classic Dave.
- King Arthur (5 points): You rocked out as classic Alex.
- I Have a Sound System (5 points): You created a band named 'Van Halen.'
- Respect the Wind (5 points): You won a guest artist song playing with Alex.
- Good Times (10 points): You performed on every instrument with a member of Van Halen.
- I'm the One (10 points): You scored 225,000 playing 'I'm the One' on expert guitar.
- You Really Got Me (10 points): You won a song as a band with Eddie, Alex, and Wolfgang.
- Hot For High Scores (10 points): You scored 800,000 playing 'Hot for Teacher' with your band.
- No Brown M&M's!! (15 points): You are now like a Van Halen encyclopedia!
